Have you ever wanted to be a part of saving one of nature’s most incredible animals – the honey bee? Do you want to learn more about bees and how they are managed by local beekeepers? Can you help save honeybees and see if you might like to have your own, all without a huge investment of money or time?
Join the Save the Bees Club in Caldwell County, NC and you will receive all of the following benefits:
During the Spring of 2019, you will get to attend a 3 hour beginner beekeeping class on my farm here in Caldwell County where you will learn all the basics about bees. You will be exposed to what is needed to become a beekeeper – including what equipment and skills are needed!
Upon completion of the 3 hour class, which is open to individuals, couples or even entire families (all for the same cost!), you will get to paint your own hive box for the year! Decorate the box however you like with your favorite patterns or colors!
Soon after, we will put a fully active beehive into your new hive box for the year. We will have several open house days during the summer months where you will get to come by and observe your personal hive, getting to witness how the bees are producing honey and pollen during their busy time of the year. We provide beekeeping suits with gloves and vail for you so that you may safely enjoy seeing the bees in action. Again, the whole family is welcome to enjoy this process! We will also send you photos and videos of your beehive during the season so you can keep track of your bees!
During the late summer and early fall, we will schedule a time for you to come to the farm. Once here you will get to use completely modern and superior equipment to extract honey from the frames of your own beehive! You will get to take home 5 bottles of honey ($75 value) from YOUR BEES to enjoy with your family and share with friends!
At the end of the season, if you decide that beekeeping is something you would like to pursue on a permanent basis, you may purchase your beehive for a nominal fee, and I will even assist you in the transportation and set up of your new beehive!

The cost for joining our Save the Bees Club and helping to sponsor and support the beekeeping industry is only $225 for 2019. This fee helps pay for your hive box, the honey you receive during the year, and most importantly goes to train you and others the importance of beekeeping to our environment and society.
