Getting to Know the Honeybee - 101

Has the honeybee every fascinated you? Have you ever wanted to learn more about these amazing creatures? Have you ever wondered how the bee makes honey? Has the thought of seeing thousands of honeybees working frightened or scared you - but you wanted to see it up close? Have you ever thought about raising honeybees for yourself and wanted to know what it takes to be a successful beekeeper?

If you answered "YES" to any of these questions or more - join us for a fun and exciting look at the Honeybee! One of the most amazing creatures on the planet, and one that we have literally millions of here at Tiger Tail Farms!

So many people have asked us here on the farm if they could come spend a few short hours on a Saturday to learn about what beekeeping is all about? What it takes to become a beekeeper? How much money and resources are involved in starting my own honeybee hives? We answer all these questions and so much more in a workshop here at Tiger Tail Farms! We have a 3 hour class designed specifically for the novice to beekeeping - that tells you all of the basics, lets you ask lots of questions, and even allows you to put on a beekeeping suit and go out into the apiary (fancy name for a bunch of bee hives!) to see the honeybee doing their thing - making honey!

The cost is minimal, mostly to cover materials, and is designed for people of all ages! You can come alone, bring your spouse, or even bring the whole family! The cost associated is based on one person, with a small "Additional Family Member Rate" being added when you reserve your spot! To guarantee your spot - simply download the form at the bottom of this page, and mail it to the address supplied at the bottom of the form, along with your payment - and we will be in touch with you by email as the time approaches for the class! We can't wait to see you here at Tiger Tail Farms, and we can't wait to share our love of beekeeping with you!
